Fault P0105

Post by Marcel-Anthony »

Hi All,

New to this forum as the car is the wifes, We have a CC 2.0, Its a 2002 model. We have had the car for about two years and it has never let us down until now.

I replaced the Battery about a month ago for the right size (just for info(. The problem with the car is it is cutting out when you come to a junction or need to stop. It also wont Idle well. I have a code reader and I hooked it up yesterday and the only fault stored was P0105.

After some research on this forum and the net I had hoped it was the map sensor. Today I took the old one of for a bit of a clean and re fitted. No change the car still kept cutting out. So ordered a new one from Euro Parts.

I fitted the new map sensor out side Euro Parts and the car then idled ok, on the drive home the car was a bit hit and miss some times it would judder and stall coming to a junction to stop the in traffic it was fine.

Got the car home and it was idling ok. Plugged it back in to my PC to reset and clear the codes. This is did and after a few restarts the car was recording no Faults.

Got my wife to take it for a drive and the car is still cutting out but not all the time.

One is now a bit lost.

Can some one give me some advice as to what to check next. I have read about the Throttle Body bit to be honest not sure what to do to it to test. Also if I have to replace this part is just a plug and play or has to be configured to the car.

Thank you in advance

MC

What code reader are you using and can it show live data? If you have live data check Crank pos sensor output. Also check for air leaks around the back of the engine, the plastic pipes can go brittle and split. Listen for hissing noise.
The throttle body has to be calibrated if you change it.
