comms 2000

Post by seany2000 »

Hi guys, my indicator/light switch snapped on me and now my fog light wont work as i took glue to it...dope
My mot failed because of this i have scouted about the net for a newComms 2000 unit, the question i ask is how universal are they..I found one or two that look exacly the same in every way. The part i have on my car is for a 2006 and mine is 2005, so would one that as come of a 2004 be ok for mine.
Many thanks .

Should be ok from 2002 on ... make sure you get the one to match as some have front and rea fog, rear fog only, button(s) on stalks for mfd, etc

They come as a 2 plug or 3 plug connector. Make sure new one has same connectors as old one
Cheers Col.

Apparently there is a guy on ebay that can repair them sometimes ... not everything is possible, esp airbag lights (usually the "squib" behind the steering wheel

Plus his "advert" tells you how to identify the one you have ... looks like there may have been a change around 2005

Ah yes. 4 or 5 connectors including the air bag connectors.
Cheers Col.
