Hi folks,
My mate has a 2001 206cc 2litre. His blowers stopped working and so he checked his fuse box in case something had gone but all fuses seemed fine so asked me to go and have a look. When I have got there several other problems have cropped up...
His wipers have gained a mind of their own, not stopping at all when off or just stopping in the middle of the screen.
His indicators don't work via the stalk but do via the hazard switch.
His windows and roof don't work but his wing mirrors do.
I have checked every fuse under the column and in the engine bay and they are all in tact, I cannot see any loose plugs or wires anywhere and the loom seems in tact everywhere I can see it and so I am at a bit of a loss.
Does anybody have any ideas as if I can't help him tomorrow he'll have to pay garage prices to find out?
Cheers, G.

Re: Several sudden electrical faults...
Seems as though lots of gremlins like this start popping out when the battery begins to get a bit tired.

Yes, I'd agree with Enright, how old is the battery that is on the car? 6 or 7 years old and my money would definitely be on that. If you do renew it make sure you follow the correct battery disconnect / reconnect procedure to avoid blowing something very expensive. And get the correct battery, the 190mm tall one, not the shorter 175mm tall one that is meant for the hatchback. Otherwise you'll have more problems.
