OK, so I bought my 206cc and it came with a host of issues, all have been rectified except one.
The moving parcel shelf is supposed to have a pull cord on it so you can manually override the roof, but mine has gone missing. I have removed the long plastic cover that reveals some switches parts etc, but cannot see where the string would attach to?
Would anyone be able to take a picture of their car so I can work out how to remedy this issue?
Thanks

Re: Help with parcel shelf please.
What year is it? I've had an 05 plate, my ex has a 56 plate, and Capncol's is a similar age - they all didn't have them. It seems the later ones weren't fitted with the cord.

Its a 2002. It has a hole in the plastic case there for a cord and the user manual shows it there, but I cant find anywhere to attach it to?

Re: Help with parcel shelf please.
Hope these help. Mine is a late 51 plate. The cord is simply looped around the end of the piston then pulled through the mount and plastic trim.

Edit:
Actually, I'm pondering on if this is right myself, I'll have to have a proper look after work...

Thanks Karrot. Yes looking at your image, i'm not 100% sure if it is right. I have had a poke around and tried to see if could see if anything would move if i attached a cord to it, but couldn't really see anything.
I bought a cord from a bathroom light switch for a quick fix, but I expected a loop or a hole on the piston to attach it to...
If someone else could post a pic, then we would have a better idea.

Re: Help with parcel shelf please.
Right, I have a good look over the weekend, and looping it round the hydraulic ram like mine is, is correct.
It's a little hard to explain the action of the parcel shelf mechanism, but the string is there to simply get the ram moving once the PRV is slackened off for manual operation.
A small tug on the string will move the ram and parcel shelf a small amount and then allow it to be manually stowed. Nothing more complex than that
