Hi All,
New to the site and the 206 CC. Just bought my Daughter in Law's from her!! Most blokes go for big bikes or supercars. But I just liked the look of this.
What are the main niggles I need to keep an eye on? Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Iain

Re: New member, with a mid life crisis!!
My daughter's just had a problem with her locking wheel bolts on her 207 (same design). The wheel bolt key was damaged (2 of the 4 hardened pins were broken and missing). I managed to get one wheel bolt off by hammering on a 7/8 A/F socket. The other 3 I used temporary replacement pins which I superglued in place in the key. Had to do the temporary key repair 3 times, and the last time I used slightly oversize replacement pins after drilling the holes oversize and just hammered the locking wheel bolt key into place. It lasted long enough to get the last bolt out. After binning the offending locking wheel bolts and the damaged key I replaced the 4 locking wheel bolts with standard 17mm hex wheel bolts so there is no need for a locking wheel bolt key any more.
Ok so there is a slight risk that someone might nick her alloys now, but her car is 6 years old and the alloys are not pristine so we'll take that risk. At least she won't get stranded if she has a puncture now.

Roof.
Front suspension arms (get GTI version not cheaper standard ones)
Exhaust as this is low, speed humps are a pain.
Tyres, esp 205/45R16 can be expensive.
Check out the buyer's guide for more items to watch.
