Hello from mostly rainy scotland
Hello and good day to you all! I'm now the proud owner of what I thought was a bargain 206cc, the car is a 2002 gleaming black 1.6 with full leather interior and 85,000 on the clock, been off the road a year due to previous owners health so no tax or mot but car starts, drives, stops and everything works "did work"!!! Reason for joining apart from not wanting to pay dealer costs on problems I can sort myself is that after showing off the cars party trick to a few friends the roof refused to go back up??? Was working absolutely fine but now while stuck in the open position when the roof button is pressed all I hear is a musical bleeping with no movement in the roof at all? I have manually raised the roof and closed it now and still think it is a great car at only £300!! But I'd like to solve my roof problems ASAP! Thank you

Less than half an hour looking through the problems and solutions on the roof and we now have a perfect working 206cc roof!!! Cost £0 the problem, when roof opened up the catches on both side of the boot lid hadn't fully locked in place causing the warning/fault chime to sound. Catches were sticky due to lack of use, some WD40 and a bit of gentle moving back and forth by hand had them lock in place and now the roof works perfect!! Not a bad car for £300

Excellent forum!! The last Peugeot I owned was a 205 gti 1.9 back in the 90,s so 206cc's are all new to me and without this forum it would have almost certainly been a trip to the dealers and I bet a few hundred pound lighter in the pocket!! Thanks
