Hey All,
I have a 2003 Pug206cc 1.6
It's currently driving me nuts!
The driver seat belt no matter how slow I pull will lock after an inch, then maybe three, then maybe just enough for me to wear it but it'll be tight.
I know I need to check the mechanism that is hidden so my questions
1) How do I get the plastic off to look at the belt
2) What am I looking for ?
Cheers all!

Re: Driver Seat Belt
Do you park on an incline? It's the inertia locking mechanism that is causing this. Parking on a level surface will help as will pulling the belt slowly.
On a CC I think you will need to remove the rear seat before you can get the side panel off but even then I doubt you can get to the inertia system as I think the belts are sealed ... a 2003 will probably have these connected to the airbag system ...

No, I'm on a flat 90% of the time even pulling slow it will just lock up I can't go much slower - speed seems to be irrelivant. I have seen that I can remove the rear seats - ((which I want to do anyway so I'd be killing two birds with one stone! )) I work near a mechanics but I dont want to be charged for an hour for them to spend 30 seconds on it.
