So spending a couple a couple of days on my daughter's CC.
Today it got two new suspension arms and the GTi versions. These have a bonded rear bush but the front one is more like a ball-joint. Hoping they last longer and cope with today's poor roads and speed humps. They took longer than I'd hoped but not unexpected as I've changed a few! :-)
Also found that the breather pipe running over the thermostat had come apart. I knew this was broken and I joined the two ends using some heater hose just after we bought it. That had softened and fallen off so now it's got a section of silicon hose as a temp fix until I replace it.
Oil drained and tomorrow new filter and refill.
Also replacing front exhaust section as existing one is bent and split. Refitting with poly hangers to try and keep it higher.
And two new tyres to replace the ones the worn suspension arms caused. About £350 on parts so far.

Your daughter is lucky that her Dad is so capable. You'll be saving her a fortune AND the jobs will be done properly.
