several faults when obd connected

Post by PeterP »

car had new clutch a few months ago, timing sensor was damaged and renewed. car driven and all was well. not been driven for a couple of months. used today, hesitant, cutting out, hard to start. I have a laptop for obd, faults are tps, egr, cam sensor. once on dash anti pollution fault. replaced all components listed and plugged into obd, starts intermittently and can't clear the faults. my daughter is supposed to have this car as I have just sold her reliable citroen. I am in Bristol she lives in oxford so am desperate for any helpful suggestions.
many thanks
peter

Give us a clue - what make and model is it? Any more service history? Mileage? Fuel used? How old is the battery? Is it the correct battery? Was the earth connection disturbed or damaged?

By the way, a motto of mine is "if it ain't broke don't fix it" (e.g. don't get rid of reliable cars) - no help to you of course but may help someone else.

The actual codes would help too.
Cheers Col.

When requesting help of a technical nature, please give as much detail of the fault as possible along with details of exact model, engine size & type, gearbox, year, mileage, and any relevant work carried out to try to solve the problem to help us help you.
Better still, put the details in your signature.

What odb system was used as well?? Some report faults when.there aren't any or misread the codes because Peugeot uses there own system for older cars.
