Hi all,
Apologies for this post, I have had a good look through a lot of roof fixing threads on this forum and most seems to have issues where the roof is stuck open, closed or part way or indeed beeping a lot with an error somewhere.
My girlfriend has recently got a 206cc, we tested the roof before we bought it and everything worked perfectly with the car giving a single beep when you unlatch it, all of the windows came down, roof works fine in both directions etc.
We tried to use the roof again for the past few days as we just wanted to check thought everything again and the roof doesn't want to do anything. When I unlatch the roof hooks I don't get a beep at all, its completely silent and nothing happens if I try and use the roof switch.
Just wondering if this is an issue with the fuse, microswitch or something else? Is there is there a diagnotic tool I can use for everything to be checked over? I have already run a standard OBDII reader and there are no codes at all.
Will there be a beep or warning if a microswitch isn't working correctly - eg if the boot blind cover wasn't in contact?
I was thinking perhaps a fuse or something but all the electrics work including the radio etc which I think shares the same fuse?
Can anyone help with what it could be at all?

Thanks for that I will check - makes sense for something to come loose on the current state of the roads! Where is the ECU located? Is it in the passenger footwell like most cars or is it elsewhere on the cc?Capncol wrote:Check the Plugs haven't come loose from the roof ECU
Thanks for getting back to me!

Many thanks, I will check tonight, I will also check around any of the microswitches I can see in the boot but it might just be a case of the roof ECU being unplugged as it wasn't making any noises at all.Capncol wrote:As you look in the boot. top left behind the panelling. It's black and yellow.

If you get a "fault" chime when you operate the roof switch, check the microswitches at the top of the screen pillars. If you don't, check the ECU connections as above.

Re: Roof issue - no beeps at all
Hello!
I was wondering if you could help me please?
I think I have the same problem as the original post here but I'm not very tech savvy with these things and have had ago at checking the wires last night and they all seem plugged in. I fell for the BS at the Peugeot garage yesterday and after running a diagnostic check, they want £500 from me to fix one of the sensors! (I do not have £500 to spend on this unfortunately) They said that I need to order a 'Set of Hooks' from them so they can fit it. My question is, do you know how/where I could get this fitted cheaper than £500? (I live in west london) or infact if there is anything I can do to fix this myself? I've tried desperately to try to find how to do a manual reset but with no luck, maybe I could try this?
So just to clarify, when I unlock the roof catches there is no beep like there normally is to confirm they are open. Also, when I open the car door it would normally beep like if I'd left the lights on, to let me know the catches are open, but it's not so I think that logically it does sound like a sensor problem. What do you think?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated as I love my little car and don't want to drive around all summer with the roof on!
Many Thanks,
Lizzy

Re: Roof issue - no beeps at all
Was there any progress on this m1tch, monkey or Lizzy?
I have same issue. It came about after I somehow broke the roof (took battery out to charge it, possibly after half opening the roof and battery died). Opened and closed roof manually a few times but lid would not lock tight.
Got 2 people to lean on the boot while holding button, heard motor and the lid locked properly with hydraulics and (left hooks in auto position).
Now it wont even attempt to open. No beeps, no motors. There is a beep as there should be when opening the 2 roof catches above the seats, nothing after that.
There are error beeps if something is not in correct place, eg the boot slider, so the sensors etc seem to be all OK. Just no motors/hydraulics attempt to open anything....
Shame as it was a birthday present for my partner and we've had loads of issues with it

Not sure it will help, but some issues like this can be cured by a BSI reboot. Easily done, and it costs nothing. link.

Unfortunately, what I didn't realise when buying the car, has no key fob. Can't do a BSI reset
Just has a normal plain key, no remote, etc. Anyone know cheapest way to get proper key fob?

You do not need a key fob to do a BSI reboot - the plain key is all you need. The bit about the key fob in the link only applies if you DO have one. Just do steps 2 to 7, and then 10.

Key Fob:
You can get it from several internet suppliers, or a Peugeot dealer.
There are four different flavours of fob, distinguishable only by sticker on the outside and the Part No on the packaging. Which is correct for your car depends on date of manufacture and whether the car has front foglamps. Sounds unlikely, but it's true.
Do not be tempted to buy a new fob from Chinese EBay sellers as they do not cater for the four flavours, and some people have found that they do not work in their car. Buy only by Peugeot Part No.
Fobs cannot be repurposed, so do not buy 2nd hand.
If you want to post or PM the last eight digits of your VIN, I'll look up the Peugeot Part No for your car.
Once you have the fob, you need to get the blade cut.
Then you need to program the fob. This requires Peugeot Planet 2000 (hardware and software). I bought mine on the internet - it's worth it for its diagnostic capability. Otherwise you can get someone local who has it to help. Link.
You will need the security code - supplied on a card with the car. If you don't have it, it's obtainable from an internet supplier for about £20.
Of course, you can just go to a Peugeot dealer and get it all. Expect to pay upwards of £120. Maybe you could get quotes from several?

Re: Roof issue - no beeps at all
Just a quick reply on this - found out it was a microswitch on the driver side A pillar that had actually got stuck down, managed to get into the bit of trim and pinged the switch which then became unstuck - roof now works perfectly
