Air Conditioner Cold Air Turning to Hot After 15 Minutes

Hi Everyone,

I recently got a new air compressor put in 2 weeks ago since the old one had been dead for 3 months and summer has come.

When driving the cold air comes out great and cools the whole car, but after about 15 minutes it stops and becomes hot air. It will act somewhat like this...

15 minutes (cold air)
2 Minutes (hot)
3 Minutes (cold)
2 minutes (hot)
1 minute (cold)
uncalculated, stays hot after that

I guess before I take it in to the a/c guys I wanted to ask if anyone knew if maybe this was a problem with me setting the settings wrong on my dash? But the internal temperature gets really hot its not like its nice and cool and then the a/c stops and waits for it to warm up, it gets really hot when it turns off.

im not 100% sure but that's sounds far more linked to the temp sensor than anything else?
how do you control the temp?
do you use AUTO or just adjust manually?

I would suggest testing with adjusting manually and see if the AC will run for longer on cold without using the auto setting to adjust tetmp.
turn auto off and then drop the temp setting to as low as it will go (14 I believe)
if the AC will happily run and stay put at that temp beyond what you usually get then I would suggest its a fault with the sensors somewhere.

Fixed Update: Just updating this item in case anyone runs into the same problem. we found the issue and it was a really easy one. I was driving and must have hit a speedbump or whatever. There is a yellow connector underneath the a/c and tensioners area this looked like it was hit by something and broke off became disconnected, we resautered it and everything began to work good as new!
