Electrical problem 206cc
Hi all...bought a 2002 1.6 206cc for my daughter, all has been well for a month or so, then she rang me to tell me the anti skid warning light came up on the dash, not sure if this relates to problem...she was driving with the roof down at the time, it started to rain, she pulled over and tried to put the roof down, nothing happened...she turned off the ignition, tried to start it again, nothing engine would`nt turn over, i arrived 20 mins later, still nothing, it jump`ed off straight away, got roof up and car home, turned it off, dead again, got a multi meter out, 12 volts in battery, tried to start, dipped to 4 volts, suspected the starter, jumped off again 15 volts to the battery..then turned off, and started 8/10 times straight off the bat, but this anti skid still flashing in and out..next morning, started once, then dead, rocked in gear just in case its a dodgy solenoid...maybe a open circuit somewhere, before i send it into the expensive auto electricians anybody got any ideas.. Carl

Re: Electrical problem 206cc
So when the car is running your getting 15v?
Should only be 14.4v maximum.
If it is then it sounds like you have a dead cell in the battery and it needs replacing.

15v is too much and could possibly over charged and damaged your battery
