Newbie 206cc Owner from Philippines

Hi All,

Just bought a second hand 2005 Peugeot 206cc with 1.6l gasoline engine and automatic transmission.

There was no manual and service record included from the previous owner, so no reference on the history. Have around 45000km on the ODO ....so what parts are recommended to be serviced? I think it's better to start with a new slate before driving it on the road as a regular driver.

The issues found are:
1. large wiindow motor functioning, but using the switch the window rolls down but not up.
2. small quarter windows not functioning.
3. roof not opening.
4. cracked exhaust pipe (with loud racing sound )
5. with spanner alarm on the odometer.
6. faded lcd display ( on top of hazard switch)
7. moisture/condensation inside rear lights.
8. faded headlights lens
9. ....and worst, on of the lions on the stock wheels is missing. LOL

Hi and welcome. To answer your questions.
#1 Likely to be faulty switch.
#2 If both, maybe roof ECU, or maybe just both motors faulty
#3 Again, could be roof ECU, or give a bit more detail of what is / is not happening.
#4 Weld or replace (but don't leave it as it will effect fuel mixture)
#5 Needs a service
#6 Probably blown bulbs. Search this forum on how to change.
#7 Common problem. You can search forum for more details, but basically the gasket on the back is leaking
#8 Replace of try polishing with Farecla G3 or similar.
#9 Permanent marker pen??

As with my car....,low kms but 11 years old.
I would replace the timing belt ( due to age).
Belt costs about $40.00. Engines cost a lot more.

Have you got a wrecking yard near your area? Hope to get parts from down under since nearer to us, maybe cheaper shipping.
