These things are never a waste of money since most insurance companies recognise this and offer a discount on their premiums. The cc already has a Cat 2 imobiliser which makes it difficult to steal in the first place but doesn't stop people stealing your stereo and stuff. So in the end it's down to you whether or not you want to spend that much money but it certainly isn't a waste.

Heard about a guy who had a tracker in his TVR. The thieves stole his keys on his driveway and because his children were in his wifes car just behind he gave them the keys. The police found the vehicle 2 days later in a lockup in Leeds. The guy got his car back - but - a couple of days later the thieves contacted him and told him if he didn't give them the car back they would do something nasty to his family. Seems that if they really want your car there isn't a lot you can do about it!!!!
