Hi, i bought this 206cc second hand and the buttoms were a bit wornout so i decided to get a new fob, moved everything as i saw in many videos with the transponder with it. When i was done i tried to lock and unlock the car with no problem on it but just when i had to go to work the car would not start.
What is even weird is that i had the service meter on 10k but suddenly after a few attemps to start the car it switched to 0 km and the service key is now on next on the km meter. Lights, radio and other stuff just works normally. After thinking a bit of what it could be i tried to start the car with the spare key and suddenly it started. Four ours later tried again with my main key and it wont just work switched again to spare key and worked fine. Any ideas? Got no clue since its my first car.

You haven't swapped the transponder chip over. Small item in corner of key and easily missed.

Hi and thanks for your answer, i did took the trnasponder from the old fob to the new one. Somehow looks like the car doesnt react to the transponder anymore i did even took it and taped it next to the ignition switch with no answer or peep with the dopr open.
