Hi
I am looking to wire in a new horn into my Peugeot 206cc (05).
Looks simply enough to just use old bracket and connect a new horn (aftermarket). However new horn I think is mostly plastic so will have to earth it a different way. Am thinking just fixing an earth wire from the negative terminal to the bracket bolt effectively skipping over the plastic.
If you look at the wiring diagrams 2 cables run into the horn from the fusebox. What is the second cable, an earth cable from the fusebox switch? Presumably I connect this to negative terminal too?
Thanks!

Re: Wire new horn
Having consulted the SEDRE wiring diagram, I confirm that the conductor connected to PIN 2 of the horn is wired to earth. It seems needless to separately wire the horn to earth.

Pretty sure the original horns are plastic .. but the connector may also only fit original horns ..

They're half and half I think. Yeah I'm thinking of taking the connector off as just wiring straight to the new horn's two terminals and bypassing the connector issue.

I did that when I converted to air-horns .. the original wouldn't have made anything jump!
