Hi,
car in for MOT in morning and after checking the car over due to it sitting outside the house with a big ding in it for around a month now, found a washer jet hose brittle and leaking, cut the end off and a cup of boiling water later manged to get the "new" end on.
Hose is not long for this world.
What size is it? 4mm, 5mm or 6mm? that's ID I guess?
Have to MOT it so I can spend more money taxing it before end of month & then be able to take it to body shop to get the dent fixed. LOl
Money money money.
Cheers,
Iain.

Hi,
Back to garage to get all fixed.
Will cost more than its worth to everybody else.
Garage already fixed:
Bulb was upside down.
Washer jet was cleaned with compressed air.
Drop links are only a year old, but previous, now defunct garage destroyed the rubbers on installation.
Brake pipes, I could have wire brushed and greased like last year, but hey, they are brake pipes..
I am still looking to find the washer hose size.
Cheers,
Iain.
Happy days.

Hi,
I bought GTi wishbones, drop-links & track-rod ends for 80 quid off EBay last year. Hope the rest last. LOL.
Cheers,
Iain.
PS. Rubber parts are kak now. My Spit gets new parts every year because of quality of rubber seals. Ho hum.

Re: Washer jet hose size.
Rather than using bleach which could well damage your top-coat, how about using some baby bottle sterilising tablets or liquid? I would imagine that would do a pretty good job and is bound to be gentler on your paint and bodywork?
