boot lid not closing

Hi everyone, any help here would be much appreciated.. My roof wont operate at all ,press the button-not a thing...have checked fuses all OK. connection to the ECU for the roof looks good...I don't get even a beep...It is lovely weather here and if I lower the roof manually the catches wont open and close around the anchor, so cant close the boot ,and get a constant beeping. The car is a2002 petrol 1600. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Ted

Are you following the instructions for manual lowering in respect of moving the small white "clips"?
