You can tell the suns out

Post by Johnnyb60 »

Today it's been the warmest day of the year in Wales with a tarmac melting 15 degrees recorded.
What better time than to open that roof up and let the sun into the little Pug.
After months of drab cold grey weather it was so nice to enjoy the full potential of my car.
As using it as a normal car during the winter months it's been perfectly fine, but today it was a nice feeling to get out there and enjoy it for what it was truly intended for.
I even saw two others on my travels to which I got a wave from.
They must be getting rare when you get a wave from fellow drivers,!.
After a recent new battery everything seems to of settled down with it.
It's starting first time and there's been no more electrical anomalies. Touch wood it will stay that way.
I've got a few little things I want to tackle in the coming better weather, such as changing the gearbox oil and swapping the black hoop bars to the chrome ones I sourced for a bargain price from the local scrap yard.
As the weathers warmed up a bit I've also noticed the mpg has got better too.
Not by much but it's now averaging around 40 mpg as opposed to 37 in the depths of winter.
Really looking forward to enjoying this little car this summer (hopefully we will get one)
Kind Regards
