when i opened the boot and looked at the underside of the boot i noticed the metal with the ridges in was coming away from the frame work (if that makes sense), looks like it is just stuck with some sort of glue ?!?!?!? which is now not doing anything at all, you can get your fingers between the framework and the metal skin.
can someone check there boot to see if it's just mine.
At least i know way my boot lid rattles so much when the subs playing
DOh! After actually having a look at my own boot I think what Lyndon was saying makes sense. It's not something we actually pay any attention to. Anyway, getting back to point. I'm not sure what the strut there is for if it's only glued on. If it's for structural support and rigidity it should be stuck on with more than just glue. Saying that my one seems really stuck on, however my car is just 6 months old so it might not have a chance to work itself loose. Could this problem be down to your sub shacking the boot? Will this be a problem with everyone who has a sub?
will pop it in the monkey garage when i can be bothered in the mean time i might put some of the sticky draught excluder stuff in between or just turn the sub down............
