Don't their Rooves work?

Passed umpteen CC's on the way up home to the frozen north this afternoon and they all had their tops up. What a complete set of knobsticks!!! Maybe they should sell their CC's to people that actually want to go topless. Robbo and I went topless all the way home to Leeds and it was just about dark when we got to the pub!!!!

Everybody in the pub thought the model CC was fab by the way Rob. Thankyou.

We always go to the pub. Sunday early doors is compost corner. It's when hubby (who's 44 next week!) sits with the old gimmers so that he feels young again. I asked one of them (who is a train spotter) if I gave him a hand job while watching trains if he would write me into his will. That raised a few titters. I just love winding them up

Ahhh roof issues! Saves me starting a new thread. Bear in mind I don't have my manual yet so forgive me if this is a silly question:

I was told when my car was delivered that to raise the roof I:

1: Unhooked the latched
2: Pulled the button until the roof lifted slightly
3: Snapped the latches back in place
4: Then continued to pull the button until the rabbit was in the hole so to speak ( Roof folded into boot.)

Now today I totally forgot item '3' but everything still worked ok. So the question is, do we need to snap the spring-loaded latches in place before the roof folds into the boot...or not? Am I doing harm by not doing so?

i unhook the latches then press and hold the roof button, the windows lower, boot lid moves, roof starts to fold away into the boot then the boot lid lowers, a few seconds later a beep sounds to say operation finished AT NO POINT DO I SNAP the latches back in to place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

strange way to do it if you ask me, tsk peugeot dealers

Cheers for that. This was the one part of the operation that I paid most attention to because it involved the roof, which lets face it, is one of the more exciting elements about the car...well I think so anyway. So I remember him telling me ' snap the latch back '. This of course is a pain in the soft cushioned part of my anatomy as you have to stretch to snap the latches back in place before continuing the action.

As I say I did it the way you have just described Lyndon and it all worked fine. I think I was given a bum steer. Going to continue to do it the way I did it today.

Actually, again it wasn't the Peugeot dealer that gave me instructions on vehicle operation. It was the person sent by the importers ' Virgin ' that showed me. I am beginning to wonder just how competent he was. ( He was a very nice guy but not a specialist in Peugeot cars I suspect.)

Added to that, I still don't have a manual you can see how these problems arise. ( Manual issue being addressed by folks here - thanks guys! )

ladymxenna hope you got my email about the manual

but just inform you that Lyndon is right about the latches Do Not close the latches. In fact there is a warning in the manual that once you start the roof moving you should not release the switch till it completes the operation that you are doing i.e. opening or closing

yeah agree with the above and also never change mid operation .. if it's going down let it go all the way before changing your mind. caused allsorts of problems in the 306 cab when that was done (not by me)
