right, do we have anyone out there with some good mechanical skills that can help diagnose a problem on the JETTA.
I get a grating noise coming from the front (left I think). I have been to kwik-fit who say the brakes are not sticking.
The noise gets worse when I turn left and goes when I turn right.
Any help would be appreciated.

My best guess is CV joint.... sorry.
Have you jacked up the wheel and tried to wobble it from top to bottom? Any play would indicate a dodgy bearing.

hell its 14 years old, every thing on it wobbles
I will take it to the local mr cash in hand garage owner this week if I can.
At least a wheel bearing is only £12 or £32 for a CV joint. Long live the JETTA.
