Got replacement front and back speakers but a bit nervous of pulling the car apart, also don't want to start it without having all the tools! Anyone know exactly what's needed, where to start etc!

I've seen the pics on this site, which are very helpful but I'm looking for more detailed info.

:D

Have managed to find the search function since and seen all instructions and so on, except some of the links no longer work...

Daz - if the link doesn't work, change phBB to phBB2 in the link and try again.

Alex I can't thank you enough right now cos all the ICE dealers I spoke to said the rear speakers were 13cm!! So, basically I booked the car into my peugeot dealer for Friday (2 days time) armed with the wrong size speakers! What a nightmare if they pulled it all apart and found the speakers won't fit!

Now that I've been able to find the info on this site thanks to your help I've discovered they are in fact 10cm speakers and have confirmed this with my dealer. Ok maybe I should have done this in the first place but hey... So, I've ordered replacement speakers of the correct size and depth that should be delivered tomorrow all being well!

so i guess you're getting the dealer ship to do this for you now. If not the only tools you need are torx screwdriver and the nerver to pull at things ...

basically ...
remove read seats
remove top cover of the sides
remove side panels

easier than it sounds .. honest :)

I know!! I've wimped out!! I got as far as pulling off the front door panel and taking the original speaker out... but didn't want to cut the wires plus the replacement speakers seemed too deep, tweeters too big etc... If the car was a bit older I'd have a go but it's not even a month old. I don't want to give a dealer any chance to say the warranty's void because I've been fiddling with it, say if the electric mirrors or windows decided not to work. So... off to the local dealers!

Just hope they get it right!
