Alex, I had discussion with PCA just a few days ago and have been told that all dealers should now have order status information via the order system they all have access to. Please check with your dealer. Any problems, drop me a line via the e-mail link on this site and I'll follow up for you. In the case you have problems please let me know the name of your dealer as I will need this if I'm to get anywhere with PCA

Cheers

Happy to help where I can. A few questions;

1. Has your dealer actually placed an order on Peugeot Australia? If so, ask him to give you the order number in the Paugeot order system.
2. Where is your dealer located (city)?

From my discussions with PCA I would guess you're looking at around a 4 month wait for a 2.0 manual and less time for a 1.6 auto. Because we're a small market and global demand for the CC is so high, Australia doesn't get a huge allocation. I ordered my car 16 months ago after it was released in Europe and still can't get the colour I originally wanted (Aegean Blue with black leather). I've settled for a silver with black leather and am taking delivery next weekend. PCA tell me that they're hopeful of supply getting better over the next few months, so depending on your model and trim choice you could get it sooner. Mind you, at my dealership alone he has not yet delivered a single 2.0 litre CC (mine will be the first. He has a list of 20 confirmed orders and isn't taking any more until supply gets better.

Try to get the order number information from your dealer. If he can't give you a Peugeot Australia order number that's in their system, there's not much I can do to help.

Let me know how you get on and I will happily assist you when the dealer channel doesn't work.

Cheers

Thanks Frosty, will do tomorrow.
It is great to hear you are going to have CC next weekend, it's worth waiting isn't it. Can't wait to see my CC. I ordered a silver 2.0 Man with black/red leather, but I'll be happy with silver with black just as yours, it is cool!!!
Do you know how many CCs had actually been deliveried in australia-wide?? and how long is the query so far? Poor Australian have to wait much more time than peoples do in other countries, how lucky we are!!!
Is your coming CC in new spec?? do you know if trip computer's included??

Hi again, I have no idea how many have been imported. I'll ask Peugeot Australia and get back to you.

The red/black leather looks great, but I decided to be a little more conservative so just went for straight black.

Yes, my car will be "new spec". The model change occurred effective October 2001 production and vehicles built from October onwards are known as "2002 Model". Yes, it does have the trip computer as well as all the other aesthetic goodies such as auto wipers and lights, upgraded stereo, etc.

I'll post a photo of mine on this site shortly after I take delivery. Stay tuned for my updated of my experiences.

My e-mail address is accessible from this site (look at home page and click e-mail tab) and use that link in case you want to give me details that you'd prefer not to share with the world. Rest assured, I will guard your privacy as I will anyone who contacts me.

When you get your CC, let me know and I'll send you an owners registration form for the database. This information will be useful in providing feedback to Peugeot in the event that any systemic problems arise. Again, your information will be kept safe - anything communicated to a third party will be collective data and not able to be associated with any individual.

Keep in touch

Cheers

I should be taking control of my CC here in Adelaide some time this week. It has been at the dealers since last Monday and I'm waiting on my (Salary) Package Administrator to send me through the final doco to sign (frustrating!)

Mine is a Silver 2.0L with Cloth interior. Same story as Frosty - I ordered Silver 2.0L with Black Leather and the only 2.0L they could get in for me was this one so I grabbed it.

I ordered mine in October last year - not as long a wait as Frosty luckily! The guy who took ownership of the first one through our dealer (mid-December) had been waiting a similar timeframe as Frosty but luckily a red 2.0L with leather was allocated to our dealer first thing and that was exactly what he was after. So it is a bit pot luck and if you are willing to compromise then you should be ok.

Hi there Kirk, it must be so frustrating to see and even drive your car and not be able to take it home and tuck it in. Fingers crossed you'll finalise things soon. All being well I'll get ine on Saturday - so fingers crossed. By the way what eventually was the build date of your car? I'm told mine is October 2001 thus new spec.

Make sure you get a picture of yours posted up here as soon as you can. Assuming I get mine on Saturday I'll send some photos to Lyndon same day.

How's the manual transmission treating you (or rather you it - crunch, cruch)?

Cheers

Hi Frosty,

The time is nigh! I finally got all the doco sent over to me from Melbourne I signed everything and express posted it back yesterday so they should get it all today. That should translate in to me getting the green light to drive HOME my CC today or tomorrow (famous last words I know!)

My car is an October 2001 build (as quoted by my dealer) and on inspection of the car I'm pretty sure the auto lights/wiper were on the stalk which is one sign. The six speakers I wasn't 100% sure on. If 2 of the 6 speakers are embedded in the front of the driver and passenger windows then we're on the money but I'm not 100% sure I'd call them full blown speakers. The Hazard light switch was not split but I don't think Peugeot listed this as a difference anyway. I also think I saw the Trip computer when we first switched it on but I was drooling so much I didn't pay too much attention.

The fact that my Dealer & Peugeot stated (in one of your emails) that the December/Jan shipment were October 2001 build would seem to override my ramblings anyway.

I'm not sure I want to take ownership today - it's 35 degrees (celsius obviously) so the roof may need to be up anyway!

Oh yeh and the manual driving - lets just say I've been practising in a Hyundai Excel and I'll be glad to be able to get hold of the CC.

Kirk, that sounds fantastic - I envy you so. I'm meant to get mine on Saturday but won't know whether or not it will happen until Thursday/Friday when the car is meant to be arriving. I know what you mean about the temperature too - Much over 30 degrees and it's a little hot under the collar.

Let me know when you get it and check out the existence of the trip computer/lights/wipers that are meant to be on the vehciles we're getting.

Glad to hear you're so happy and looking forward to being similarly happy myself. These last few days are killing me!

Cheers

I checked with my Melbourne dealer (Regan Motors) on the weekend. They have three CC's just arrived (a red 2.0 with cloth, a black (I think)2.0 with red/black leather, and a 1.6 moonstone with cloth. They are currently juggling clients to make matches (offered a possible swap of upholstery to make up my 1.6 moonstone with red/black leather) - I ordered 2 months ago. We decided (for right of for wrong) to wait for the actual order (some doubt expressed by the salesman about warranty integrity if they move seats around). He assured us that actual orders were being obtained (contrary to the "pot luck" notion).
Of interest to Kirk, he was able to locate the date of manufacture label on one of the cars - in the right hand inside boot area - it was November 2001.

Cheers!

Moush, I was offered the same option to replace an Aegean Blue 2.0 with leather, as the only one imported had cloth. I chose not to becuase I could not be sure of the differences in door trim between cloth and leather CC's and neither could the dealer. I couldn't be sure that what I'd get would look like a normal factory fitted leather CC. This situation will improve once more CC's have been seen by the dealers and they know what they're dealing with.

It is not an uncommon practice for dealers to make such swaps, and most definitely if done by the dealer it is covered under warranty.

At the end of it all I'm happy I switched to my second choice of silver with black leather. I am sure the Aegean will show dirt and stone chips worse than silver. This is certainly the case of my current 306 Cab in Diablo.

Can't wait for Saturday - weather outlook appears positive

No I won't be Singin' in the Rain either...

Got word that all is finalised and my car will be ready for pickup tomorrow. Booked in for 2.30pm drool session!

I'll take a happy snap and finally put myself on the owners list!

I've been reading this forum for some weeks now, and it's absolutely fantastic! I put in my order late last year for black with red leather seats, but on seeing it decided against it cos' the red looked more like a bright orange. now waiting on an aegean blue with black leather seats. has anybody had any luck with this combination in australia?
still a bit ambivalent about going thru' with the purchase given the bad reviews in oz. has anyone been able to get extended warranty for free?
