ok so I got stiffed by a car dealer.

I bought an M reg fiesta Si last week as a run about and the dealer said they would find the master key and send it on to me. I took them at trust. Now they say they dont have it and its tuff. I need this key to get spares made, without it the spares wont start the car.

Ford say it will cost Â£200 to make a new master key and reprogramme the car.

Does anyone know of any cheaper way around this or someone who does know of a fix. Would be most grateful, accessories, keyrings or cash etc.

Can you not take any action against the dealer? You did have a verbal contract with them over the key...

RESULT

I found a local car importer Ian Shiptons (near my Old friends Blackshaws Peugeot) in Burton upon Trent.

they will make me a new master key and 2 extra spares and reprogramme the car etc for Â£45 plus VAT

Still thinking of getting revenge on this car dealer - lying cow that she was.

go to harpurhey market in manchester. they will doctor any key and are able to mimic masters. the price is outrageously low. geographically not ideal but worth considering!
