Picked up the CC (black 2.0 SE with black 'n' red interior) from CNA in Calais yesterday. Everything went smoothly (went via the tunnel -- last time I imported a car in December I went out on a hovercraft and back on a Seacat. What a rollercoaster that was -- never again.....)

Initial impressions: decent acceleration, great interior, generally love it. Engine sounds very 'French', doors don't exactly sound satisfying when they shut (I had to check I'd shut them properly), really needs a 6th gear (20 per thousand in fifth for a 2 litre car  ), mirrors are a bit small. Overall I think it's very cool and the missus is certainly pleased with it. It feels as planted to the road in the wet as my Scoob -- I don't know if that's because of the fat tyres or because it's quite heavy.

Now to register and get the private plate on. I need to get some mats too -- are the ones available from the Pug dealer any good? I'm going to get the headlight and foglight protectors too.[/b]

What sort of saving did you make over a UK car ?
Do you still get the 3year warranty ?

Thanks in advance.

I'll have a look at the 'protection pack' then, but I'm tempted to get some Autostyle mats in red. Are the headlight protectors needed, as it appears the headlights are made of polycarbonate (whilst the foglights appear to be made of glass)?

Saving was around £3.5k over UK list, but with 2 years' warranty rather than 3.

I'm sure you've all seen a black CC before, but here it is anyway (sorry for picture quality).

On the train (no, I'm not picking my nose  ):
