amp power supply

ok finally fitted my sub thsi afternoon after 6months of "i cant be arsed" and i have a problem. now in my fiesta it took alot of power from the battery an dthe lights would dim when big baselines hit. i didnt think this would be a problem in the cc as i asume it has a bigger battery. has any1 else experienced this?
