clarion changer's cable doesnt fit the standard RD3 even tho its a clarion.

You can remove the RD3 head unit no problem, dont need to take the car to them to do that

Clarion's changer that you buy in the shop fits any clarion Head Unit that you buy in the shop, but not the Clarion RD3 which came with the CC (yep, theres something fishy going on here :x ) and i am unaware of any adapters for it. Anyway pull the RD3 out and have a look behind it, give you more of an idea whats going on. Just push 4 small metal rods, probably longer then 5cm (small screw driver is good). There will be an initial stop where is has to slip pass the brackets, then it should push all the way in easily, keep pressure on the rods to each side and jiggle the unit out. It will slip in and out easily, you dont have to be a monkies to do it

Or you could always pay a couple of quid and get the correct tools if you ain't got 4 small screwdrivers ;-)

 yeah thats beat buying 4 screw drivers which end up being slightly bigger then the hole when you bring it home. BTW have no idea if they even sell the tool here in AU

They should do. Most car or car audio places in the UK sell 'em. If you have Halfords (or similar) they will almost certainly sell them.
