About 2 months ago i went out to my car went to start it up and at first it was a bit lumpy. Finally started to tick over about average but the engine diagnostic light starts flashing. Check in the book which then advises you not to drive. Get in touch with dealer and get told to bring it in. Take it to them and leave it there to be fixed, i then get a phone call saying that the key code is not responding or recognised and that they need to re-programme the key but they need the code of the tag. I tell them this over the phone and its all done and dusted.

Then driving back monday night it decides to start flashing again. Tuesday morning phoned dealers, i get a hard time about whether the cars under warranty still or not, when i tell them it is they had no trust in what i said and told me they will check first. Dropped the car off to them that night and again they queried the warranty. Told them that they had already had the car in for the same fault previously so i gave them the spare key that had the code thing attached incase they needed it this time. I got a phone call on the Wednesday at about lunchtime to say the car was all fixed and basically they just recoded the key as before. Went to collect the car that evening. I was told tha the key is not holding the codes for some reason and that they have recoded it and there seems to be no problems any more. I then walk out to my car, put the spare key in my bag, grab my original key, press the button to unlock the car and oh what a surprise, nothing happens. Which straight away i realise what the prob is. IF THEY HAVE RECODED THE SPARE KEY THEN THE ORIGINAL KEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECODED TOO. Now its not rocket science when ya think of it  . So when they done it the first time around the spare key wasnt recoded, which meant that when i dropped the car off this time around and left them the spare key, then off course the key didnt work because it was no longer coded to the car. DER...... :?

I am yet to find out what the problem was and have now got to take the car back again next week so they can recode both the keys.
