Electricity.......BANG.......AGH!!

Just really considered perhaps how dangerous my bedrrom is. I have 1 double plug socket actually in the wall.
I shall now list the electrical items which run from these 2 plugs and various extension cables.......Please don't shout at me if there are any sparkies around

01) 28" Widescreen TV
02) Video
03) DVD Player
04) Hi Fi Disco Lamp
05) Printer
06) Scanner
07) CD Burner
08) Lap Top
09) Laminator
10) Shredder
11) Glitter Lamp
12) Alarm Clock
13) Phone Charger
14) Lava Lamp

OMG......Obviously they're not all on at once but I may be in danger of sucking dry East Midlands Electricy Board.
That isn't counting a couple which I do have to switch over plugs to use!
Any advances on 14 in 2 plug sockets?

Vanda, if you have any sortof fire in your house and the fire brigade come. They will inform your insurance company and theywill more than likely refuse to pay even if the fire is unrelated

Get some extra sockets put in

Only takes 10 mins per socket

not a difficuot job

Hell I have 4 double sockets behind each of my desks in the office at home and then extra sockets for other things on the other wall. I buy sockets in bulk

But of course you'll probably find in a couple of weeks that if you have a house fire, it won't be the fire brigade that come, but a bunch of underpaid fed-up Squaddies just back from fighting a war in Iraq, who will pitch up in an ageing Green Goddess with insufficient equipment to tackle the blaze and your house and all your possesions will be destroyed...But hey! Console yourself with the fact that you drove past your local fire station and tooted your horn in support of their outrageous wage demands!!!

not wanting to disappoint you here I am.

Anyway, I thought there were going to accept the 16% over 2 years deal. So no more strikes.

Actually, yeah. At work though. Everything I listed in my "what's on your desk" post is plugged into 2 sockets and they *are* usually all on at the same time.

There's around 18 things plugged in in total.

I thought that they rejected that, and that the new law refusing them the right to strike was gonna lumber them with 3%?
