Weakening Handbrake

I have noticed that my handbrake is becoming weaker and I am having to pull it right up to hold it on a hill. It has only started deteriorating like this over a 3 week period. I have don nearly 25k. Surely my pads are not shot already

It may just be the brake cable stretching. When I got my CC I had to pull the handbrake up a long way for it to work. I got them to tighten it and Ithink they overdid it - it took all my strength to lift it up at all! It eased off quickly though and was much better.

If normal braking isn't impaired then just got the zoo to tighten the cable.

Car went in today to have Handbrake sotred also my squeaking clunking brakes were cured - new pads on front seem to have worked. Even Cleaned it for me
