Hi
I have one of the new CC's. As it is an import the manual is in French. Can anyone tell me how to activate/deactivate the internal sensor. The button has the correct symbol, but there is no light as given on the instructions on this site. The Franch language manual is no help as it refers to a temperature selector instead, which is presumably fitted to the French spec.
Thanks

Keith, Ni'CC'k,
I've never had to use that switch at all. If the roof is down I set the alarm and deadlock, all seems fine as the alarm does not do off, so I'm assuming that the internal sensors are off. If I have the roof up and leave a window open then the alarm will go off with any movent into the car. Correct me if I'm wrong.

if the car is locked with the remote while the roof is down then the internal sensors are de-activated - i checked the manual before doing it last week.

The volume control internal sensors must be active even with the roof down. This is a major software bug with the existing peugeot alarm. My Dealer told me that. The are expecting the new software here in Greece in about 5 days. The dealers here don't install the alarm on the car until they have the new
software on CD which is compatible with the multiplex modes. I cross checked it with France as well.

Ok, here I am again. I found this french site which gives a complete explanation about the original texalarm, supplied and installed by Peugeot.
It says you can leave your car, roof down, and the alarm is set. There is an interior protection sensor installed under the handbreak. As soon as you reach in the car, the alarm will go off. The handbreak location of the sensor was chosen to replace the two little sensors in the corner of the front window, which would be useless while being parked cabriolet.

It makes sense !

maybe i am being a little dense, i have looked at the above site (thanks) ran it through a translation tool. It talks about replacing the sensors mounted on the winscreen pillars (i have these). The main control unit is fitted under the bonnet behind the shock absorber turret (why mine is), yet my manual says that the interior sensors are off when roof is down, this appears to be true as i have tried leaning in the car with roof down. Is the site talking about an alarm upgrade? Or is this fitted to earlier/later models? Mine was delivered last december. All very confusing.

jim-evers, I think Speedboy has now cleared up this question on his site if you check "original alarm" post in discussions section on http://www.peugeot206cc.com

My 206cc is just over a year old so is fitted with the original alarm. So with the roof down before I get out of the car I press the alarm button wait for the Red light to come on exit car then use remote control to lock/deadlock car ?. The alarm will not go off if someone puts there arm inside car ? (is this correct ?)
If the latest version of the alarm does have interior protection for the inside when the roof is down why have a button at all ?..

Jari,
But the previous posts suggested that on the old alarm system the alarm is automatically disabled when the roof is down ?.
I hope you can see what I'm trying to get at here . Is it the case that my car (old alarm system ) has the this interior protection with roof down also ?. Suppose the only way I'm going to get to the bottom of this is try all the permutations myself this weekend. Should please the neighbours no end !!
