Brake Pin Recall - Aussie Status

Further to the posts regarding the brake pin recall for 206's, I've been in touch with Peugeot Australia Head Office and have the following response;

"According to the information I have at hand, Australian delivered vehicles will be affected - excepting CC's as they are built in France.
All owners with vehicles affected will soon be notified by registered mail to make an appointment with their Peugeot Dealer, who will carry out a simple rectification procedure."

So good news for CC owners.

CC's are built in France?
So why have i seen pictures of the production line with both CC's and normal 206's together??

i got the recall letter from peugeot today, listing all the VIN# which is affected. I got a scan of it (sorry i havent got a Character recognition software to convert to text).

I got my letter today - seems they're taking their sweet time. I'm assured though it has nothing to do with safety, rather it addresses brake pedal squeek.
