Help - MP3 Player

Hi there

I brought a JVC KD-SX998R unit and got it fitted for my 206cc last year, they said at the time they were waiting for the stalk to be delivered so would fit it once it arrived in a couple of weeks..

A year later, I'm still waiting for the stalk to be fitted

I'm starting to get slightly peeved!!

Is it possible to get this done or not or will i need to get another unit?? (If so which one works with the steering wheel???

Any help/advice would be Greatly appreciated as my patience is starting to wear thin now...

It may well never arrive, to be quite honest.

The multiplex system has changed since it was first brought out and there was a period of several months in which the systems in the cars produced are incompatible with the original adapters, and incompatible with the new adapters. Since it's only a small number, the adapter manufacturers do not want to set up a new range for what may only be a handful of customers.

If your car was manufactured in the first half or so of 2002, you may well be affected.

that is not good news..

Car was built in May 2003 - so has muliplex (just discovered what that means!!)

Looks like I need to swop it out - any ideas for a MP3 player that does actually work with the stalk and shows the display, etc?

Hi

I've got a non multiplex CC, and next week I'm getting Pioneer Avic-X1 installed. Until then I don't know if my stalk will finally work.
Found the following link for Pioneer adapters. Should work with all Pioneer headunits.
