INTERESTING MULTIPLEXING FACT ???

i know this should maybe be in the ICE section but it may get noticed more here

went to halfords today to look for a CD changer that was compatible with the existing remote stalk and peugeot multiplexing .....

the girl working in that dept obviously knows more than the nothing that i know and was nice looking so i wasn't going to argue she said that the sony changer they had would work with the 206 but when i explained about the multiplexing she made a phone call to find out.

it turns out that it wouldn't be compatible as i thought and they weren't able to get an adaptor as ** peugeot are planning to change the wiring again in 6 months time **

anyone got any views on this ???

Sounds like the Halfords call line she used didn't know either and fobbed her off with a line that would get rid of you. I very much doubt if Halfords know what Peugeot's plans are for their wiring.

Hmm, now I've delayed my order for the new Pug, sounds like a good reason to ask my Peugeot dealer about it during the 6 month service on Tuesday (though if true they might not tell me).

come on robbie, don't expect them to know something as technical as that

start with asking what colours you can get it in and see if they get that right before moving onto the harder questions
