I have a JVC touch screen CD player and Rockford speakers and SONY power subwoofer. the rockford speakers are now powered by the JVC CD player built in amp. Will a separate amplifier greatly improve the current set up? I am considering an ALPINE 4 chanel power amp at 75X4.
Suggestions are much appreciated.
will an amplifier significantly improve my car hifi perform.

Yes an amplifier will always improve speaker performance as long as it is matched to the handling capacity of your speakers.
get the part number and input / output wattage of your speakers and go to a ripspeed dealer or specialist in car hi fi dealer and they will tell you which amp would do the best job, then have a look on e bay to see if you can save any money!
Hope you enjoy the sound improvement
