i have installed phone kit, work great... but my phone has a pass throught box for the speakers and not simply wired it directly to the speakers.

the pass through box sits between the head unit and the car speakers loom (head unit -> phone kit -> car speakers)

depends on the radio, my Becker Trafficpro Navigation Radio does this without any help from outside, so when you buy the correct radio and that works in your mux'ed car you should be fine after you have installed the car kit and did connect the two wires to the radio
