I just got a loverly new gearnob - how the hell do you get the old one off??!!! Do you unscrew it? Pull it? Twist it?????

When i changed my auto gearnob, i came across the same issue. Not sure if its the same for a manual gearnob, but for the auto, just grip it tight and pull it straight up.
It feels tight at first, but it comes off fairly simply. Just make sure you keep your head out of the way
