Platinum Warranty

Hi, we bought our 2002 2.0 206cc just before the manufacturer's 3 year warranty ran out, but the Peugoet dealer gave us a 1 year Platinum Warranty. This includes Parts and labour to fic any problems, but doesn't include the diagnostic time.
Our car has just developed a squeaking Passenger window (i've looked throught the forums and it seems it's one of those problems that everyone's posted to say they've got, but nobody has the cure).
I'm just wondering what other people's experiences are of claiming on this Platinum warranty as I don't particularly want to give Peugeot a blank cheque for them to say it took 2 hours to find the problem and 5 minutes to fix,

It might sound stupid but my passenger astra windows screeches because the sun is on it all the time. I noticed after washing it, it went quiet and figured the rubbers were getting dry.............just an idea

Squeaking and rattling from the windows is a common problem on the 206cc. Blacklers in Torquay, who are excellent, told me to get some rubber lubricant (!!) from Halfords and spray the rubber seals once a month, Holts do one. It only takes a few minutes to do and allows the window glass to slide on the rubbers and does make a noticeable improvement.
