Hi All, I'm a reasonably new 206cc owner in Melbourne (3 weeks now), very happy with the car, and I was wondering - what type of fuel gives the best price/performance? My dealer told me always to use 'premium' fuel, but given that premium fuels seem to vary from 95-98 octane, has anyone found a type of fuel that is better than others? I'm currently using BP Ultimate which is 98 octane and rather pricey.

Thanks in advance!

Blair

In the early months of my CC ownership, i was using Shell Optimax ............ however, once i made the switch to BP Ultimate, i found that i was getting a better fuel economy. So, i have been using BP Ultimate ever since. Yes, its a bit pricey ........ but all good quality things are these days.

Cool... Might stick with the Ultimate for the moment then. Thanks for the advice.

Try paying British fuel prices!! We were amazed at how cheap fuel was when we were in Oz (in April) compared to here. Was about $1 a litre (when we were there that was about 45 pence), here is now 90 pence a litre!

You Aussies! You don't know you're born!
