i often wonder why people sell their cars when they have a baby.... I don't have one myself, but my god-daughter and her car seat, her pram and all her bits fit in my cc fine.

You can get car seats that fit the cc easily, especially for the first few months as the child is normally advised to be seated in the front....

:D

Believe me, I've tried to hang on to the car! With the pram/pushchair in the boot, I can't put the roof down. I have the car seat in the front with me, but my partner has to sit in the back (we only have one car) and going away for a weekend or anything more than a small shopping expedition proves impossible with space. Real shame as I really thought I'd be able to manage, but with all the stuff a baby needs when you are out and about, it just can't be done!

Wonder whether the luggage rack for the boot would help? Ebay for about £55.

Great idea - strap your spouse to the luggage rack.

I can symoathise with you though Jem I am expecting my first next month so have acquired another car for "family outings" and keeping the CC as commute and cool car for days when the ball and chain isn't with us.

it just can't be done!
as I already mentioned...yes it actually can be done lol

wasn't being funny, was only trying to help...but like I said, i've done it plenty of times.

I managed to get myself, my 6 month old god-daughter (now 18months and still fitting in the car fine!) & her mum in the car, along with our luggage and Maddison's pram & travel cot etc...

fair enough you may not be able to keep the roof down whilst travelling, however if your changing your car i pressume it will not be a convertible (if you think there's not enough room in the cc) so you would have the roof up constantly anyway.

Like I said, just trying to help...but it's not impossible, cos I have done it.
