Exhaust systems - difference between 1.6 and 2.0 ??

Hello, I have a 2.0lt CC and have recently had the exhaust replaced. They put a non-peugeot exhaust system on and now the tail pipe looks stupid! It's not the oval horizontal tail pipe I had before but a stupid looking round one that only fills about half of the bumper cut-out space.

This was replaced under warranty and both the dealer and the garage are saying that there's nothing wrong with it, the problem is just cosmetic so they aren't doing anything about it!!!! :shock:

My question is... what is the reason for the difference in the tail pipes etc on the 1.6 and the 2.0lt? Can I get them on something technical or is it just 'cosmetic' as they say?? ANY HELP APPRECIATED as I have to take it back to the garage again in the morning! :rolleyes:

I think its just a stick on extention.

Mechanics are usually of the thinking 'if it works then thats good enough'.

If this was a warranty replacement then you should have the same pipe.

If you are prepared to kick up a stink then they will sort it for you, just to save themselves any embarrasment.
