Hi all - just thought I would do a quick introductory post as I think I'm likely to be here a bit, perusing your "problems" section

I've spent my "driving life" in 4x4s, Land Rover Discoverys, and HGV horse lorries. This summer, I've had a pre-emptive mid life crisis and decided I wanted a pretty girly car, always thought the 206cc looked like fun - so sold my Disco and bought a silver 206cc, in the space of 24 hours. Thought I had a good deal as although a 51 plate has a very low mileage, bought from very reputable garage.

Well... they're a quirky little french thing aren't they? In my language they are very akin to a sensitive thoroughbred racehorse!!

I've had mine 6 weeks and I'm now on first name terms with several AA men in our area. This forum is last chance saloon for Juliette (oh yes, a silly car has to have a silly name!) as if I can't get to grips with her she's back on autotrader!

Other than the fact that she's had several new tyres, blowouts on the A14, the anti pollution fault warning pops up if you drive for more than half an hour, and the rattling boot is driving me to distraction.... well other than all that I love her, she is a great fun drive and is saving me a small fortune on fuel. Thank goodness for my 3 months all parts/repair guarantee!

I'd love to post a really cool photo of my car in a lovely location, looking well cared for and loved. .. but this is all I have and most appropriate as she seems to have spent more time like this than anything else!

Looking forward to trying to find out more about the cars "quirks" and just how much bale string and gaffer tape it will take to shut the bloody boot up!!

:-)

Welcome to the forum, Alchemist!

I hope you get your CC problems sorted out! I am also proud owner of a 2001 model and overall it's been great fun and very reliable. My only regret is that I didn't buy one earlier!

You will find this forum very useful for hints and tips!
:)

Sorry didn't mean to offend anyone!! But when you've driven really grotty land rovers held together with bale string, this is a great fun silly car. And I'm the last person you would accuse of being girly - everyone was astonished when I bought this. I even bought some make up to try out a whole new look. Didn't work - I'm a rugby shirt and mud kind of girl!!

I've just been to the hand car wash and the lovely polish guys announced "What is this? Where is big dirty truck? I don't like - its not you" hehe!!
