SOLVED - Fuse box Black Multiway Pin Identification needed.

Post by Shaun Lee »

I am fitting a replacement engine loom. But I can't fit one connector to any where.

Fuse box Delphi BSM B3

Three pin plug. Sits around starter motor.

Grey & white to Pin 2 on Black multiway plug PM1 on fuse box, Earth and Grey & Red to pin 14 on same Black Multiway.

a, What does it do?
b, Where does it go?

*URGENT*

Could be the knock sensor on the back of the engine block - that is near to where the end of the starter motor is. If it is that, it's to detect pinking and send a signal to your ECU, which then adjusts your ignition to stop it from running lean. Note that's all dependant on the "if" though! :D
