I have a 2000, 206.
Most things have been very good on the car apart from the occasional over, revving from time to time.
Yesterday the heater decided to pack up whilst the wife was out last night.
I checked the fuses first thing, No Problems.
Looked up on the net for clues, located the heater blower resister and removed it. (Luckily mine is a L/H/D (Portugal) so that was easy to extract)
Took a chance on a second hand one from the local breakers, fitted it is seconds, turned ignition on, perfect, blower working fine.
Turned ignition off, put resister in its place, started the car, "no blower"
Turned engine off, tried the blower "no joy"
Put original resister back in, Blower worked, started engine Blower stopped.
Turned engine off, tried blower "no joy.
Fitted secondhand resister, blower worked on ignition, then stopped when I started the engine.
So, I know there is power from the switch, and to the blower (that works fine) but as soon as the engine is fired up I loose the blower.
Does anyone have any pointers please
