Ingnitioon-integrated phase detection

Post by prondebele »

Hallo people I'm new.

I own a Peugeot 206cc 2001, 1.6 Litre. Car starts and cuts in the morning, and it becomes ok after 4 to 5 attempts, took it for a scan and these were the results.
1. Description: Ignition-integrated phase detection. - Intermitant fault
2. Vehicle speed sensor coherence - Intermitant fault.

How can I solve this issue.

Someone suggested Crankshaft position Sensor. Googled and got this info below:
1. Issues starting the vehicle
The first symptom that is most commonly associated with a bad or failing crankshaft position sensor are issues starting the vehicle.
2. Intermittent stalling
Another symptom commonly associated with a problematic crankshaft position sensor is intermittent stalling.

What did you have it tested on? If it wasn't PP2000, the PSA diagnostic, it may not be the exact issue.

I've tried a few on our 2001 on can get different results. I'd only trust pp2000 or a PSA specific diagnostic.

Pro scanners are fine, it's the cheapy ebay ones tha are suspect as they only read the generic EBD code. A good pro scanner will read manufacturers codes as well.
Anyway-change the coil pack
Cheers Col.

While waiting for a new coil pack ordered abroad, the car all of a sudden is starting normally. No problems.
My speedoneter is still on and off, same with the odometer. Sometimes works well then its off.

That doesn't sound like it's a coilpack problem.

Check the engine ECU for water ingress/dirt, especially in the connectors. Spray with contact cleaner before replacing connectors.
