yeah i forget it though !
I think it's becasue the air is recycled and hence the aircon is more efficent.

Thanks Paul...I use it cus sometimes with the top down Kirstys legs and feet get cold and she likes a bit of heat....Also i use aircon with roof down when its only about 11 or 12 degrees...brrrr!!!!

As far as I know it doesn't do any harm to run your air-con with the roof down, it just cost you energy (i.e. petrol) 'cuz the poor little air-con unit is busting it's b@lls trying to cool down the whole planet! (and failing of course).

with roof down you use it in eco instead of a/c mode
