One of the things I am currently finding is that it is difficult to minimise annoying rattles at the back of my car. I have what I consider to be essential safety tools in the boot - extinguisher ( for trips across the channel), warning triangle, petrol can, portable hazard warning light, torch, first aid kit, hard hat, safety shoes... < c'mon now - stop laughing. I'm a health and safety adviser so what do you expect!!
In my old car < Ford Escort - sorry for the rude language > I could pack things in without worrying about the height. I'm finding it difficult do that with this jewel of a car. I know the obvious answer is 'DON'T CARRY SO MUCH'. Still, there must be a way to minimise the annoying rattles.
I've tried putting things in a plastic box/crate in the back, but this only helps to a certain extent. I've also tried cushioning the items with a car rug. Again it helps but it's not the perfection I am seeking.
Any ideas? It doesn't affect the car's performance, but rattling like an old tin can everytime I hit a dip, pothole, or speed ramp, tends to ruin what little street cred I have. :x
