Just remember not to put any bananas in the exhaust pipe (I think if my memory is correct Beverley Hills cop did that!)
If you do wanna do it I am sure the Peugeot monkeys will spare you some bananas!
Going back to my police days insurance has always been one of those areas with scope for lots of fraud and manipulation. Whilst not impossible, It would always be difficult for an insurer to prove if a named driver drove the vehicle but a few times or the majority of the time when faced with an isolated claim. The name in the log book being but a record of the keeper of the vehicle and not necessserily the legal owner, would be assumed by an insurance company to be the driver for the majority of the time. One therefore assumes the father would ensure his name was on the log book before recording his son as the named driver on the policy. Of course there is nothing to stop a bill of sale between family members with an independant witness recording the owner of the car as the son.I think the key issue is who drives the car most of the time. I could get my kids insured on my cc (some chance!!) but if one of them owned the car and drove it the majority of the time the insurance would be void.
Don't mess with Insurance companies, they have long memories and if they can find any excuse not to pay up they'll use it!
