Hi,
I've been wondering a while what tyre pressures I should have on my CC SE. I couldn't find anyting in the manual, but finally found a sticker when I opened the door. This said 2.3Bar, which using a calculator comes to aprox 33.3 psi, which seems a bit low.
I went to check my pressures this morning and found that they have been around 42psi since I got the car!!
What tyre pressures do people recommend? Do I go with the low 33 or around 40? Or is a comprimise in order, maybe 36?
Any feedback would be appreciated!
thanks

I'm driving a Fiesta at the moment, and the 'correct' pressure for up to 3 people is 32 front and 26 rear. This didn't stop the dealer setting them all to 36 when I had it serviced though...
If the label says 33, it could be correct

While on the subject of tyres......
I have had my CC almost a year and have noticed VERY bad wear on the tyres. I am sure I will be having to replace them soon
Has anyone else (similar age CC's) noticed this? (or is it my driving)
Does anyone know how long the F1's last??
Is this norm?
Thanks

Its not one side or the other, or not that I have noticed.
I will have a good check.
I have a feeling it is to do with the speed I drive as when I had the rear passenger side tyre replaced (had 3 nails in it!) The tyre man commented on the tread on the tyres and said "cor you must drive fast!"
Any other speed demons out there???

You expect me to check the tyre pressure?
Isn't that what a man is for???
I will get someone to check them and have a look!
I still can't get rid of the squeaky brakes - thought my free mouse would have given up on that by now!

I race a colleague after work some time ago before I lowered my 206cc. He have a Volvo V60 T5 and to avoid both a trip to another world, I had to slam on the brakes down from 185km/h to 60km/h - the reaction from the car almost give me a heart attack!
It feels like the worst roller coaster trip I ever had - the care move left-right-left-right for almost 5++sec before it stabilize.
I do check the tyre pressure - same as in the book, then I lowered the car - problem still there but less loose-jointed but still its scare the shit out of me when I slam the breaks.
Any other suggestion than tyre pressure?
